Scotch on the Rocks is located on the lush and spectacular coast overlooking Sandy Bay in Ocho Rios. Set on a small rise, this oceanfront home is located between the Afterglow villa and the Royal Planation near the fabulous Jamaica Inn Resort.

Originally built by a Scottish Lord, the Earl of Mansfield, in the early 1950's, it has recently undergone a complete renovation ('2004) and enlarged and restored to its original beauty. Scotch on the Rocks or "Scotchie" as the villa is affectionately known, has a caring, capable and pleasant staff of four, composed of cook, maid, and gardener. They will prepare wonderful meals of your own choice, introduce you to Jamaican cooking and delicacies and generally look after your every need. Built on two levels, the interiors feature new travertine flooring through the first floor and original, highly polished mahogany floors on the upstairs level. Crisp white walls and neutral toned, tasteful furnishings define the interiors. Colorful artwork accentuates the crisp white walls. The villa features natural toned and tasteful furnishings throughout. The living room opens onto a spacious (24 x 12) outdoor covered verandah furnished with comfortable cushioned wicker seating and beautiful hardwood lounge chairs. The verandah is the perfect spot for savoring an evening sunset. Indoor dining room seats eight and the outdoor dining area that overlooks the pool and ocean can accommodate larger parties comfortably. Also, on the first floor are an air-conditioned indoor television room and an outdoor covered game room, perfect for cards and games. Please note that the TV room may be converted into a fifth bedroom. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with Jamaican mahogany furniture, antiques and original art. All of the bedrooms have air-conditioning, private baths and porches looking out to the sea. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, indoor seating area, antique writing desk and outdoor porch with table and chair. The master bath features travertine stone floors and natural stone countertops. All four of the bedrooms are located in the main house. The TV room in the main house may be used as an optional fifth bedroom. It can be closed off from the living room and has a sofa that converts into a queen sized bed. Steps wind down through rocks to a large dock with gazebo that provides access to the wonderful sandy swimming area in the clear, calm waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Rental of Scotch on the Rocks includes a complementary double membership (2 people at one time) at the nearby Royal Plantation and includes tennis access (fee), gym, sauna and 25 % off spa treatments (adults only; as the hotel does not accept children).
