Come enjoy the expansive space of the beautiful Mojave desert at Rattler Ranch cabin. Rattler Ranch is beautifully landscaped with ocotillo, palm trees, cactus, desert willows, elms, sycamores, smoke trees, desert pines, and many other desert plants. There are also two corrals and one covered stall on the property, so bring your pony!

This cabin is fully furnished and decorated by artist/owner, and is situated on five acres (along with owner's house). It has one bedroom with queen bed, bathroom, and one big sitting room with wood burning stove, vintage sofa that folds out to sleep one, and kitchenette/dining area. It features outstanding views of the boulders on the north edge of Joshua Tree National Park, as well as views of Mount San Gorgonio, and the wide open spaces of the Mojave will calm and inspire you.

The property abounds with wildlife - jackrabbits and cottontails, roadrunners, desert tortoises, coyotes, lizards, an occasional snake, and many, many quail that love to spend their nights in the palm trees. World famous Joshua Tree National Park is nearby, for rock climbing, hiking, and touring. From Rattler Ranch, you can walk the miles of desert dirt roads, or hike directly into the park.

The town of Joshua Tree has several eating establishments, including Rattler Fine Food, owned by the owner of Rattler Ranch, where you can get delicious gourmet take-out food and provisions, as well as fine wine, ales, cheeses, chocolate, etc. etc. There is also a cafe (Crossroads) for dining in, a saloon, outdoor equipment outfitters, and gift shops. The nearby town of Yucca Valley has a cinema, more restaurants, and antique shopping.
