Maui Gold is a fully-furnished, second-story, corner-condo vacation rental that sits closer to the beach than any other unit in West Maui. The kitchen is fully equipped with black appliances, an island, and plenty of counter space. Relax in the living room on the comfortable pastel colored furniture. The lanai is a nearly 24 feet wide (as are the living and dining room out looking windows). It is not like many narrow single units like most rentals found here and is big enough to take in the spectacular sunsets that range from Lanai to the island of Molokai. There is an un-obstructive view both up and down the golden sandy beach, north and south, and the night it feels as though the ocean is under your doorstep (while safely on the second level).

The ocean is just a few steps away making swimming, snorkeling, surfing, sailing and sunning the ultimate convenience. Look for sea turtles, dolphins and whales to swim by as the sun slowly sets colorfully into the Pacific Ocean. Take a dip in the complex swimming pool. Also nearby are shopping malls, restaurants, and many golf courses.

Allow yourself some time to explore the historic sites of the town including the Baldwin Home, the whaling ship Carthaginian, the famous Banyan Tree and the Maria Lanakila Church. Located on the northern edge of Lahaina at Puunoa Point is the Lahaina Jodo Mission, the home to the largest Great Buddha statue outside of Japan. There is also a beautiful temple and 90-foot-tall pagoda. Just a few miles north of Lahaina, the resort area of Kaanapali is home to Whalers Village, a wonderful open-air shopping center filled with great shops and restaurants, as well as the Whale Center of the Pacific. Whalers Village also is located right at world famous Kaanapali Beach where you can watch the boogie boarders, parasailers and surfers frolic in the waves.
