The one mile drive to your cottage views one of the tallest mountains on earth, the world famous Mauna Kea, that is snow capped mid November - January, and sometimes till May.

The cottage is six minutes from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, featuring Kilauea (forty-five minute drive), one of the world's most active volcanoes.

Volcano Area has ten restaurants and cafes, two convenience stores, the Volcano Winery, golf, a bird park, and hiking trails. Thirty minutes to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, and forty minutes to Hilo.
