It is approximately a one-mile walk on the beautiful Kings Trail, which is a paved, ocean-front pathway that takes you through an ancient lava field. It is not treacherous. In fact, it is a wonderful experience with a million dollar view. You can also drive to the beach, which takes about 5 minutes.  Hali'i Kai is located within the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Resort, which features two golf courses and the Kings Shops. The Kings Shops offer excellent shopping, dining, and nightly entertainment.

With snow-capped mountain peaks, black-sand beaches, and sparkling waterfalls, the Big Island of Hawaii is big on contrasts. During the winter months, the snow atop Mauna Kea attracts adventurous skiers and snowboarders. The lively rainforest is a bird-watcher's paradise. Volcanoes National Park is a popular destination for sightseers.
