The Alta Ranch's Ponderosa cabin offers comfortable accommodations for up to 6 people. It is 1200 square feet and it is more like a vacation home than a cabin
It features two bedrooms, each with either a king bed or two twin beds, a loft with two twin beds, a bathroom with tub shower, a living/dining room with wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen, and porch overlooking the river.
The Ponderosa cabin is located about 300 feet from the river and is surrounded by massive Ponderosa pines. It has a private campfire site situated between the cabin and the river
The ranch is about 45 minutes from Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort and the Chief Joseph Cross Country Ski trails. It is 6 hours from Yellowstone and 4.5 hours from Glacier National Park. There are many hiking trails, including a scenic hike up Trapper Peak. Fishing and wildlife viewing are spectacular.
